The English comedian and actor, Russell Brand has made into headlines once again. And this time the actor has been charged with new allegations of sexual assault. Well this isn’t the first time that the comedian has been accused of these type of charges. Since 2006 -2023, four women have allegedly accused Brand, for sexually assaulting them.

The UK police confirmed on Tuesday, that the actor has been charged with new count of rape and sexual assault. The new charges, authorized by Crown Prosecution Service relate to two women who have accused the actor. Brand will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on January, 20, 2026 in relation to the new charges.

   While co-hosting The Russell Brand Show on October 2008, Brand and Jonathan Ross left vulgar voicemail messages on actor Andrew Sachs’s phone about his granddaughter. The incident resulted in a huge UK media scandal and widespread complaints.
5. 2010- Arrest at Los Angeles airport 
   September 2010, Brand was arrested on suspicion of battery after allegedly attacking a paparazzo at Los Angeles International airport. Later he was released on $20,000 bail.

   In November 2023, a woman filed a lawsuit under New York’s Adult Survivors Act accusing Brand of exposing himself and assaulting her in a bathroom on the set of comedy show, Arthur(2011).
7. 2023 – Multiple Sexual Assault and Abuse Allegations
   In September, 2013, a joint dispatch by The Sunday Times, The Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches reported five women’s allegations of sexual assault, rape and emotional abuse against Brand for incidents between 2006-2013; one accuser claimed she was 16 at the time.
