Floyd Roger Meyers Jr., the child actor who appeared in the 90’s sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” has died at the age of 42. The New York Post shared the news of actors death on October 29, 2025. Floyd’s mother said that she spoke to her son the night before.

She further confirmed that Floyd died at his home in Maryland on Wednesday morning from a heart attack. It is said that the actor was struggling with his physical health as over the last three years he had suffered three heart attacks. Floyd’s little sister Tyree Trice has created a fundraiser to cover the funeral expense on GoFundMe. The fundraiser is open till November 3, 2025 and she has raised around $ 6,500.
Tyree described his brother as a devoted father, loving brother and a friend whose kindness, laughter, and warmth touched everyone he met. She further added “Roger leaves behind his four beautiful children- Taelyn, Kinsley, Tyler and Knox – and our loving family is now facing the unimaginable loss of someone who meant everything to us.”

Floyd started his acting career in 1992 with the 90’s comedy sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”. He appeared as young Will Smith in the show and was part of just one episode. The child actor further did two more sitcoms; The Jacksons: An American Dream (1992) and Young Americans (2000).
Later he founded a community called “Fellashipmensgroup” for men suffering from mental health and depression. On his social media page he constantly shared the events and meetings that he held for empowering men to lead a healthy life. Even though Floyd suffered a major health issues over the last three years, he had a positive outlook towards life. His support group paid tribute to Floyd, stating despite his death, they will continue it’s mission in his honor.
