Fasten your seatbelts ladies and gentlemen. People magazine recently announced the sexiest man alive of 2025, and it is none other than Jonathan Bailey! Yes, our very own “Lord Anthony Bridgerton” got named the sexiest man alive on The Jimmy Fallon show. Furthermore what’s more exciting is that, it’s the 40th anniversary of “sexiest man alive.” In 1985, People Magazine started this ritual and the first sexiest man alive was Mel Gibson.
The internet’s boyfriend, Jonathan said “It’s a honor of a lifetime. I’m sort of thrilled that People magazine have invited someone in – bestowed this honor on someone who can really cherish the value of sexy man.”
All about Jonathan Bailey
Born on 25th April 1988, Jonathan Bailey (37) is from Oxfordshire, England. Jonathan started acting at a very young age in Royal Shakespeare company. In short time he gained acting knowledge and in a year he started performing in big West End production. I must say that he was destined for success from the beginning.
In 2023, in a interview to Evening Standard, the actor talked about his relationship status. Jonathan said I’m dating a “lovely man.” He further added “It’s not secret, but it’s private,” he explained. “Having a private life is, for me, completely critical. I don’t know if I would be able to be as confident to speak out on other things if I felt that my whole life was up for grabs.”
In spite of the constant media attention on Hollywood actors, Jonathan has successfully kept his dating life private. And I understand his concern. The moment big producers and studios get to know that an actor is openly gay, they confine him to limited roles. Therefore I think it is best if he wants to keep his partner’s name private.
Apart from this the English actor is a strong supporter of LGBTQ+ community. In 2024 he started The Shameless Fund, a charity to support LGBTQ+ organization. “I know that LGBT sector is under immense threat at the moment. So it is amazing to meet people who have the expertise and see potential that I could have only dreamed of.”
Following the success of Wicked (2024) Jonathan is ready with the sequel of this film, Wicked: For Good, which is about to release on November 21, 2025.
