Buckle your seat belts fellas and get ready to explore the deep ocean with The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants. A month ago when I first saw the trailer of this movie I must say I wasn’t that excited. Frankly speaking I was still enjoying the wave of Zootopia 2, I mean common you gotta admit that the movie was freaking awesome. So what made me watch The SpongeBob Movie: search for SquarePants, my 7 year old son.
SpongeBob Movie Review
So without giving any spoilers, lets get to the movie review. SpongeBob wants to prove his bravery to Mr. Krabs and how does he do it? Well he takes up the mighty challenge with The Flying Dutchman, who is a mysterious ghost pirate, and lives deep in the Ocean. Furthermore, his friends, Squidward, Patrick Star, Mr. Krabs and Sandy get along on this wild ride to defeat the monster.
From the start, the movie is filled with colors and some crazy banter. The setup is simple, it’s a fight between good and evil. Every frame captures your attention and every character feel relatable. I think that’s the beauty of a good scriptwriting. The jokes are amazing and even for a cartoon movie, at no point it feels unrealistic.
The other thing that I thoroughly enjoyed was the acting by lead actors. I know it’s voice acting but hey, to nail an emotion through your voice, it’s a challenging task. Therefore I need to mention Tom Kenny (SpongeBob),Clancy Brown(Mr.Krabs), Bill Fagerbakke(Patrick Star), Mark Hamill (Flying Dutchman), and Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy) as they have done a terrific job and they keep you hooked to the last scene.
Indeed Nickelodeon and Paramount pictures have targeted this movie for kids and I can say it from experience that my son had an absolute blast watching this movie. So if you wanna have fun time over a weekend, I’ll definitely suggest you go for SpongeBob movie. You can thank me later!
