Top 10 Stranger Things Trivia You Need To Know!

I must say that over the years Stranger Things has become a massive global phenomena. In 2016, when Netflix released this series, I didn’t watch it immediately. Well maybe because I was still binging on Game of Thrones, Narcos and Mad Men! However, in few months everyone started talking about Stranger Things and my FOMO kicked in. I instantly got hooked on to this mystery drama.

I mean just take a look at the setup of the show. Supernatural forces, secret government, children with superpower unraveling mysteries and ghosts! It’s a sure shot formula for a hit television series. Furthermore acting by the lead group; Sadie Sink, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, and Gaten Matarazzo is equally worth watching. The Season 5, of this series is already creating a buzz, considering this is a final one and the Fans are finding it hard to let go of this epic drama.

1.Stranger Things Was Almost Called Montauk
Before Netflix approved it, the shows working title was Montauk, based on real conspiracy theories about secret government experiments in New York. The series creators, Duffer Brothers later shifted the setting to Indiana, for a classic Steven Spielberg- style movie.

2. Eleven Was Originally Supposed To Die in Season 1
In the early draft, Millie Bobby’s character, (Eleven) was supposed to die by Season 1. But later the creators changed this arc, considering the emotional impact on the overall story. Also it was Netflix who wanted to explore more of this character. Well I gotta say thanks to Netflix and the creators for not killing Eleven. 

3.The viral Auditions Tapes
In filmmaking they say that half your battle is won when you do a perfect casting. And this happened exactly with Stranger Things. The audition tapes of Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin became viral inside Netflix. In fact Millie’s, emotional monologue convinced the producers instantly for her role.

4.Demogorgon Had a Different Design
The early concept of Demogorgon was more humanlike. The final flower faced monster was chosen to feel more like an alien and Lovecraftain.

5.Running Up That Hill Broke Global Records (Again)
In 2022, Kate Bush’s 1985 song exploded after Season 4.

The Upside Down version of Hawkins is stuck on the day Will disappeared (November 6 1983). This detail was confirmed in Season 4 and explains why objects never update there.

8.Hopper Was Meant To Stay Dead
Hopper’s Season 3 “death” was originally the final one. However, fans reaction and actor David Harbour’s popularity convinced the creators to bring him back. Charming isn’t it!
