Hugh Jackman (57) got married to Deborra (69) in 1996 and the couple had been together for almost three decades. Now that’s a long time in Hollywood. But then it’s not the first time when a Hollywood couple has called it quits after more than 20 years of marriage. Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban, Rachel Zoe & Rodger Berman, Kris & Caitlyn Jenner are the couples who decided to end their long marriage.
Hence I wasn’t surprised when this couple decided to call it quits.
On September 15, 2023 Hugh Jackman announced his split from Deborra. In his interview Jackman said “We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.” He further said
“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
Later on May 27, 2025, Deborra-Lee Furness filed for divorce and she made a shocking headline with her statement, “My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal.”
Hugh Jackman’s makes debut with girlfriend Sutton Foster
In 2021, Hugh Jackman starred alongside American actress Sutton Foster in a broadway musical “The Music Man.” That was the beginning of their friendship and rumored affair. Sutton Foster is known for her work on broadway stage and she is a recipient of two Tony Awards. Her notable broadway works are Thoroughly Modern Millie, Anything goes, Little Women, and Young Frankenstein.
In 2023, rumours of Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster’s affair started to gain attention in Hollywood. Both the actors didn’t confirm anything and kept their relationship private. However, after two years the couple finally made their red carpet debut at the screening of film, Song Sung Blue.
Sutton Foster was previously married to Christian Borle from 2006-2009 and then to screenwriter Ted Griffin for ten years. On October 2024, Sutton filed for divorce from Griffin.
